cool breezes were blowing. The golden sunrays fell on the huge dome of Gateway of India as if a book of history was opening Crowds of tourists and locals with cameras and mobile phones were capturing the grandeur of this historical monument in their hearts

Gateway of India a reminder of the British 


Rajwas a monument that had been the identity of Mumbai for centuries Its stone carvings fine workmanship and high arches mesmerized every passerby Even today it was not just a monument but a symbol of the soul of Mumbai

Right in front of Gateway of India stood the 

Taj Mahal Palace Hotel The red dome high minarets and grand architecture gave the Taj Hotel a unique identity It was not just a hotel but a legend Every wall every corridor was witness to countless stories Today the hotel lobby was bustling with activity Foreign guests businessmen and locals all together were enjoying the grandeur of the Taj The aroma of tea live piano music and the sweet conversation of the guests created a charming atmosphere


An old waiter named Ramu had been 



working at the Taj Hotel for fifty years His eyes were filled with stories from every corner of the Taj He was serving tea to a young couple walking slowly The couples eyes had immense admiration for the Taj Ramu smiled and said This hotel is not just a building, it is a feeling Stories of history and love are hidden in every stone here 


The young couple asked curiously Can you tell us any special story from here

Ramu took a deep breath and got lost in his memories Once a foreign king came here He was so impressed by the beauty of the Taj that he called it the palace of dreams And once a young writer sat here and wrote his most famous poem The Taj has inspired countless people



The evening was setting in and both the 

Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel were lit up The waves of the Arabian Sea were creating melodious music as they crashed against the shore This evening in Mumbai was a wonderful amalgamation of history and modernity The Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel were the pride of Mumbai They were not just buildings but the heartbeat of Mumbai They reminded every visitor that Mumbai is not just a city it is an experience a feeling a story
